GEM is considered an essential service.  GEM has all proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for employees and training programs in place for prospective employees new to healthcare interested in working as home support workers or companions.

  • What qualifications do I need?

    All GEM Health Care Services (GEM HCS) employees must have the following before being considered for a position :

    A vulnerable sector check

    Pre-employment medical examination and 2 work related references

    An up-to-date Cardio-Pulmonary (CPR) Level C and Standard First Aid certificates

    All applicable professional or vocational certificates
