GEM Health Care Services, through the business and personal efforts of its founder, Gaye E. Moffett, is deeply involved in the Ottawa-area community.
A member of the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce since 1994, Ms. Moffett has represented the Chamber on the Community Advisory Committee of The Ottawa Hospital, since 2000. She chaired that committee from 2006 to 2008.
Ms. Moffett was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Ontario Home Care Association, for a third term.
Since 2005, Ms. Moffett has been involved with the United Way of Ottawa’s Hire Immigrants Ottawa program, a member of the Health Sector Working Committee, a member of the Employer Council of Champions. In May 2012 she became co-chair of the Employer Council of Champions Committee.
Ms. Moffett also is a member of the United Way’s Successful Aging Strategic Council.
Ms. Moffett is a member of the Rotary Club of Ottawa West since 2007.
She is Chair of the Ottawa Bach Choir Board of Directors for 10 years.
She is an active member of St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church and sings in the choir.
